I have for sale a vintage poster by John Urbain. It is a framed poster for Urbain's exhibition in New York, 1982. It is a limited edition modern silk screened serigraph of abstract shapes, in multi-colors on paper. There are handwritten pencil marking "26/80" and signed J. URBAIN on lower right corner.
On the bottom of the poster is printed. JOHN URBAIN COLLAGE/PAINTINGS OCTOBER 14-30 1982 IMPRESSIONS GALLERY NEW YORK. John Urbain (1920 - 2009) was an American/Belgian modern abstract artist, who was well known for his assemblage, collage, and paintings. He studied under Josef Albers.His works are in collection of major museums such as: MOMA, Brooklyn Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, North Carolina Museum of Art and the Asheville Art Museum. Approximate dimensions of the frame is: 24 3/8" tall, 18 3/8" wide, and 3/4 thick.
Actual image/artwork area is: 15" by 15". This is a well executed, high quality art print. That is in good vintage condition overall.
